About Carole THERIAULT

  • Carole Theriault (pronounced TERIO) has 20 years cybersecurity experience and specialises in effective communication strategies, training and cyber education.
  • She is an experienced podcaster, available to help you establish or grow your podcast and target the right audiences.
    • Since 2016, has co-produced and -hosted Smashing Security with Graham Cluley, a weekly technology podcast that takes a lighter yet informed approach to a week’s events in cybersecurity.
    • Regularly presenter on The Cyberwire Network’s Daily and Hacking Humans podcasts.
    • Has been a guest on numerous other podcasts including Recorded Future’s XX, Hacker Valley Studios, and the popular How to Money.
  • She spent almost 15 years at Sophos where she headed up The European Communications team and founded the Naked Security, a multi-award winning cybersecurity that organically achieved around a million views each month during her editorial tenure.
  • Since 2016, she has co-hosted and -produced the award-winning cybersecurity comedy podcast Smashing Security, which gives free practical cyber advice in a fun digestible way.

About John Hawes

  • John Hawes has over 20 years experience in cybersecurity and anti-malware testing, from both technical and operations standpoints.
  • He was involved in the foundation of AMTSO, a key global non-profit serving as a central networking and collaboration hub for the anti-malware industry, and still handles the organization’s day-to-day operations.
  • He spent over 10 years at Virus Bulletin, designing and running anti-malware tests and in later years running the business side of the company.
  • He has experience of planning, organizing and running events for groups of 10 to 400 attendees at locations around the world.
  • He has written for a wide range of outlets on security issues, including stints as regular contributor to Sophos’ Naked Security blog and PaymentsSource fintech news.
